I recently read A Single Stone by Marilyn Wallace. It was a pretty fast moving story – a tale of a mother, Linda Crell, who had been accused of murdering her own child, only to be released on a legal technicality. Linda and her husband, Matt, relocated to a small coastal town and changed their last name to Orett. Just when they started to get their lives back to some degree of normalcy, another child was killed in exactly the same way as their own daughter had been. Linda had no alibi because during the time of the murder, she had been driving around the countryside with another of her “headaches.” With the police hot on her trail, Linda, afraid of being accused again, afraid that her husband knew more than he was letting on, and afraid that she didn’t even know herself anymore, desperately attempted to understand what was going on. What did I think of it? The premise of this story was very interesting, but I felt that something was missing and the story was too disjointed. The details and atmosphere and scene build-ups were lacking something.

If you like dogs and believe that they have magical abilities then you will enjoy Dean Koontz book The Darkest evening of the Year. Amy Redwing, a dog lover, works for a Golden Retriever rescue group. When she is called in to rescue a golden named Nickie things take a strange turn. Amy’s boyfriend Brian is getting strange emails from a former girlfriend, Vanessa, about the daughter they had together. Vanessa and her current boyfriend Harrow are holding the daughter hostage and not treating her very well. A stranger is following Amy, Brian’s home gets broken into and someone is trying to find out things about Amy’s past. It all comes together in the end with Nickie played a significant role in the lives of all involved.

I have recently read the book WildWood Dancing by Juliet Marillier. This is the first book of a second series that she had written. This book is about 5 sisters, two cousins,and creatures in the WildWood forest. This book is about romance and advenure where like in the stories of Cinderella and stories with prince frogs. In this book all of the sisters go through a troubling experience. They have their fathers bad health to worry about, their uncle just died which leaves them in the hands of their mean cousin Cezar, who tries to take over everything.Then their is the growing romance between Tati and Sarrow, but they have come across a difficult path. You see Sarrow has to go on a mission so he can be with the one he loves.But then their long lost cousin Costin comes out nowhere. What do you think will happen next? I guess there is only one way to find out. You are going to have to read it.

I have recently read a book called Tending to Grace. Conelia and her mom were are attached to each other. Conelia doesnt like her moms boyfriend. Cornelia’s mom Lenore and her boyfriend say they are leaving to Vagas for a better future. Leaving cornelia behind with her eccentic Aunt Agetha. While she is ther all she is doing is wishing for her mother to come back to get her before she goes crazy. Cornelia loves to read she is always stuck in the easiest English class at school, even though she reads more books that everyone else.

oh em gee! i read a book called What Happened to Cass McBride, and i was soooo good. Its about this girl who is kinda stuck up, and this kid asks her to go on a kinda-date with him. She politely refuses. But decides to write a dumb note saying “How could he think he can ask me out” or something like that. Anyway she leaves it in her class and he finds it and reads it. So he kinda gets really depressed and goes bonkers, commits suicide naked, and pins a note on his flesh. So he has an older brother who tried to help him find a girl and he picked out Cass. So his brother thinks its all her fault. He kidnaps her puts her in a wooden box and burries her aliv. She finally get rescued after, kyle, the suicides brother, tortures her for days. When they find her shes almost dead. Its such a good book. i dont remember how many pages it is, but i dont really read and i read this book in a day.

so a book that i read and want to comment on ‘twilight’ !!!! o gezzz probbably the best book i have ever read!!in it there is a whiney depresses girl named bella who moves to forks washington to live with her dad. well when she starts school she sees this really amazing man named edward cullen. well she noticed that ther was something wierd about the way he would act around her and how he would clench his fist when he walked by and stuff.well she laters finds out he is a vampire!!! woo scary !! well not only did she find that out but she also found out that he was also IN LOVE WITH HER !! so the story pretty much ends up with the two of them being in love and her wanting to be a vampire so that her and edward could stay together FOREVERRRRR!!!! it was a great book!! and i think everyone should read it!!

Fantasy – Adventure – Magic and True Love all combined in one book: Daughter of the forest by Juliet Marillier. Sorcha is the only girl in her family of seven. She and her six brothers live in magical forest in a land far away in a time long ago. They live happily until their father is bewitched by his new wife and a spell is cast on the six brothers. Sorcha must leave her home and complete an impossible task in order to reverse the spell and bring her brothers home. She is captured by the enemy of her homeland, but finds herself under the protection of a handsome and charismatic leader of the enemy forces. Will this fairy tale end with a happily ever after? Once I started this book I had to keep reading until I finished, couldn’t put it down!

Blue Blood by Melissa De La Cruz.
Blue Bloods is a great book. It is also in a series. This book is about how an out cast at her school finaly finds out about her past. Schuyler Van Alen lives with her grandma. When schuyler turns fifteen the secrets start to unravel. The most popular boy at school is starting to show an intrest in her. As her best friend Oliver and her try to find out what is going wrong because of the sudden death of one of their class mates, and what kind of secrets the blue bloods are trying to hide.

The book that i read was “What My Girlfriend Doesnt Know”. This book was about a boy and a girl that start dating, but the boy is the school ‘nerd’ and the girl is the popular girl at school. so when they start dating everyone at there school starts treating her different and start making fun of her because she is dating a nerd. So while everyone starts to treat her bad, Robin, the boy she is dating doesnt think that its fair to her to have people treat her like this, so he thinks he has to break up with her to make things right. so basically what happens is he cheats on her and she finds out and they dont talk or look at each other until one day he goes to there favorite painting at the museum and she is there. So they make up and that is the end of the book. The sequal to this book is ‘what my mother doesnt know’ and i am reading it right now. This book is a really good book i would recommend it to anyone!

The book i read was the second one to the series. The Vampire Kisses series have been good so far. Kissing coffens was an exciting book because ravens love alexander leave. Raven is determand to find him after a note was left. She goes to her aunts house to visit because it was close to a club that was listed in the note. When she ends up going to this club she meets a stranger. He than started to follow her. With lost hopes of finding alexander she goes home. She went over to alexanders house only to have found the stranger had followed. alexander show up just in time to save her from the stranger. when a big secret about his lifes starts to unfold. Any one who loves a good adventure would love this book

the book i did was called go ask alice. this is a story of a girl who is struggling with a drug addiction and the things she does to try to get away from it buut also the things she would do to get a fix. the athour of this book is annonmous. but its a relly goods book and i would recomend it to alot of people.

The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket is a great book for those who like to read books about kids who are in always in consent pursuit of an evil count Oalf. You see there are three kids who recently just the their home and parents in a fire. This Count Oalf had tried to kill them once so he could have their money.So they sent them of to visit their uncle. But while there Count Oalf finds them again and well you just have to read to see what happens.

this book called identity was amazing! its about two twins whose parents got in a car crash and split their car in half. their mother had to get tons of plastic surgery. After the accident they just dont seem to love eachother or their kids kaleigh and reanne. Reanne wants her fathers attention and kaleigh wants her mothers. Their father is a drunk judge and their mother is always gone becuase she is running for a political office thing. So daddy is always there and mom is always gone. The dad, when he gets drunk, molests kaleigh and neither of the girls know what to do so kaaleigh has this kid who is in love with her and she loves him to but she doesnt know how to open herself up to anyone or tell hm the truth. Meanwhile reanne is addicted to pot and sex. She will do anything for a high. Kaleigh binges and cutts herself. Reanne binges and purges and tries to go for her teacher. But the end is soooooo good. you would never guess and if you dont want the book to be ruined dont read this part but, kaleigh finds out she is a schitzophrenia after she tried to overdose and reanne was killed inj the car crash. so she has split personalities. and has been acting like herself but when she thinks shes sleeping she really being reanne. this book is by far the best one ive read in 2009 and 2008. i recommend this book to everyone.

Hatching Magic by Ann Downer-
I read this book and found it better than I thought. Hatching Magic is a book with about 242 pages (determining the book) is filled much with detail. Even losing me in the middle of the book I found this book great. – When a 13th century wizard comes the to the modern world of 21st century Boston, he has lost his wyzern and with a evil wizard on his tail looking for the same prize there is one that gets it. And it was neither of the wizards. 13-year-old Theodora Oglethorpe becomes too involved and when much has occured this girl might be very special indeed. I’m sorry I am not that good at summarizing books so if you really want to know what it is go ahead, read it.

Burned~By: Ellen Hopkins
This book is mainly for teens between the ages of 13 and18. It has about 530p. (Depending on the book). I found this book very intresting, acutally it is more intense then what you would expect. It contains drama that a teenager goes through on a daily bases. Burned also has romance between the two chacters of Pattyn and Ethan. They find eachother when she moves away to her aunt’s house. Then when she returns home to her mormon family she loses EVERYTHING!!!! Talking her boyfriend (Ethan) over the phone she finally talks him into picking her up and running away. When Ethan comes to get her at school se gets into the truck to see one of her friends watching. What she doesn’t know is that he is getting the plate number. Reading this book changed my whole outlook on life.

The book that I read was Pendragon the Never War. Its the thired book in a siers. Booby Pendragon is now 17 and he is on a territory called first earth. its the past of second earth. Its in he 1940’s with the hindiberg and its just befor world war 2. He must save us from the evil Saint Dan who is trying to take over Halla which is all 10 terrorys. saint Dan can’t chage the past or the 2 other earth territorys are doomed. Bobby didn’t stop the Hindinberg so Saitn Dan got conntrol but because it happend the other 2 earth territorys are safe.

I have started reading some of the new books that we purchased for the library this year.
The first book I finished is Love is a many trousered thing by Louise Rennison. The is the 8th book in the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series. Georgia finds herself having to choose between the Sex God Robbie and the gorgeous Italian Masimo. How to make such a decision!?!? It does not help that Georgia still has to deal with her crazy Mutti and Vati, little sister Libby, the poodle stalking cats Angus and Gordy and the uncle who has started a Baldy-Gram service. And what about Dave the Laugh – why is he always popping up in her thoughts@!?
You will laugh out loud with Georgia as she tries to make this huge decision.
