Books in a series
We have several different series available in the library – Gossip Girls, Harry Potter, Sisterhood of the traveling pants, Lemony Snicket, the A-list etc.
What is your favorite series (any series, you don’t have to pick from the ones listed above) and why? Is there a series you really like that we don’t offer in the library?

My favorite books are the Harry Potter series. I love to read them and I could read them over and over again and they would never get old. If you have never read them I highly suggest them to anyone who loves using their imagination. There are currently 6 books out but there are 7 in the series. It is about a boy named Harry Potter who lives with his mean Aunt and Uncle because his parents were killed by an evil wizard. He finds out on his 11th birthday that he is a wizard and he is to attend Hogwarts. He has many adventures at Hogwarts with his two best friends Ron and Hermione, while on the lookout for the wizard who killed his parents and wasnt able to kill him. This wizard needs to kill him in order to survive.

A series of books that I highly enjoyed reading would have to be The tricksters choice and The tricksters Queen. They are about a girl named Aly who’s father is a spy in a fantasy world. She gets kidnapped from her home land and uses what she learns from her father to get herself out of trouble. The trickster god Kyprioth comes to her with a wager, that if Aly can keep Duke Mequen’s children Dove and Sarai alive for the summer and shelter them from evil and harm, she will be free to return home at the end of the summer. Aly agrees to this bet.
. It tells of her adventure. Its a book full of Adventure, Drama, love and Destinies. i suggest it to anyone who enjoys a little more modern fantasy tale.

best friends 2 is the next book in the R.L. Stine series. The first book is about a girl who is blind, she has to read brail.Her boyfriend brad (brad has a brother named ED he is a killer he killed johnthan and it is up to her to see that brad is the not the killer and ED is.) paulette is the girl she is the girl that regonize the feel of the person’s face to be able to know who the person’s face. read it .it gives you the chills.don’t be scared to read it after yuor are done ti will scare you.

I would have to say and I think a lot of you will agree..that a really good series are the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison are extremely funny! They are full of British humor and slang that makes you crack up laughing in the middle of class. I honestly would recommend this series to anyone..whether your a boy, girl, or in your fourties. They are so funny they can make anyone laugh.

i am reading the second a-list book and i really liked the first one. it is about a girl who goes to live with her dad who has changed a lot since her childhood. on her way she meets a boy and she is trying to decide if he really likes her or if the relaionship is just about looks and a good time.

I just got done reading the first book in the series of Gossip Girls by Cecily von Ziegesar. It was a really good book. It is about a group of friends; Blair and Serena were best freinds until Serena went to a boarding school because she was getting into trouble. Serena didn’t call Blair the whole time she was gone so that caused hard feelings between the two when Serena went home.

A Child Called “It”
The true story about a boy (David Pelzer) in California, who is brutally beaten and starved by his mother. He had to fight for his life. He find others who will care and fight for him.
A book I would recommend to read.

well, i havn’t yet read any books in a series. I’m still working on Earth Abides, so when i finish that i’ll check out some others. Perhaps one of the books mentioned on this site.

Oh my gosh, Mrs. Anderson, that is scary, just after you told me to go blog on this I was thinking about what my favorite series was and once the page loaded I saw that you put the one I was thinking, haha. The Stephanie Plum novels are Hilarious!!!! I’ve only read the first 2 (my mom reads them and trades them in so I never get a chance to read them! ARGH) and I LOVED them. I think Lakeland should get ALL of them…seriously, ha.
Have you read the Stephanie Plum Christmas Special? That one is pretty good too.

The only good book that i have read in a long time is called tom clancys op-center the balance of power it is a ghood book about the government of spain and about this war in spain and an op-center employee gets assasinated and they are trying to find out how assasinated the op-center employee it is a good book that i would recomend for anyone who likes a good story and you wont get bored with the book at all i would actually read it again just for fun and not even get bored again so that would be a good book that i would recomend to read if you get the chance!!!!

my favorite books that are in a series are the harry potter series they arwe filled with things that keep your interest and will not let you get bored i can read all of the books agfain and probably not get bored but the prisoner of azkaban was a little boring the second time that i read it but the one that i cant wait to come out is harry pottter and the deathly hollows i think that that is going to be a good book that everybody is going to like and it should keep your interest like the other books do
i also kind of think that the movies are not as good as the books thou but my friend taylor says that when he watches the movie and then reads the books that it helps him understand the books a little bit more!!!!!!

I would say that the entire Harry Potter series is fun to read. It’s adventurous, exciting and funny. Although, the third book is my least favorite and the movie was worse. It was kind of dark and depressing for a children’s book. The rest are good, though.

My all time favorite series for pure entertainment and making me laugh outloud is the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. There are currently 12 books in the series, you can see the titles at this website: http://www.evanovich.com/ Stephanie is a New Jersey girl, who still lives close to her parents. She is unemployed and broke, so accepts a job offered to her from her Uncle Vinnie a bail bondsman. Yes, Stephanie becomes a bounty hunter. Ranger, the handsome mysterious fellow bounty hunter shows her the ropes. Her first case is to track down Joe Morelli, who is a former cop and played a significant role in Stephanie’s life at the age of 16. The life of a bounty hunter is not easy and the speed bumps and people that Stephanie encounters along the way will keep you entertained throughout the entire series.
